Agustín Fuentes is the Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C., Endowed Chair in Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame.

Agustín Fuentes is the Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C., Endowed Chair in Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame. He completed a B.A. in Zoology and Anthropology, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley. His current foci include cooperation and bonding in human evolution, ethnoprimatology and multispecies anthropology, evolutionary theory, and public perceptions of, and interdisciplinary approaches to, human nature(s). Fuentes’ books include The Creative Spark: How Imagination Made Humans Exceptional (Dutton), Evolution of Human Behavior (Oxford University Press) and Race, Monogamy, and other lies they told you: busting myths about human nature (UC Press).
