Researchers must share their work and their passion with the public as the accelerated pace of scientific discovery and technological innovation increasingly affects every aspect of our lives.

The message comes from renowned theoretical physicist and World Science Festival co-founder Brian Greene who has arrived in Brisbane for the annual celebration of all things scientific.

Professor Greene and New York journalist Tracy Day created the festival in 2008, combining his scientific expertise with her communication skills to bring ground-breaking science to the public.
